Rainbow Express Parcel Services Ltd is our sister Company. This is a Domestic Courier & Parcel Company, having offices in 21 major districts with 38 branches in Bangladesh. The Company has its own covered vans to transport commercial goods, imported raw materials, industrial products, exportable garments etc. This is our strength in the field of International Freight Forwarding and NVOCC and we have been successful in rendering door to door service to all our important clients.
The Company employs over 607 highly skilled, trained, professional personnel and it is expected that this service will expand to other new domestic and international destinations in the near future.

The Chairman Mr.Tanveerul Haque is an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan having qualified in 1972. He served in the Human Relations department of Bangladesh Tobacco Co. (currently BAT) from 1975 to 1982. He served the Company at its Chittagong Factory, Dhaka Factory and the Head Office and resigned as Branch Personnel Manager of the Dhaka Factory on 31st December, 1982 to start his own business. From 1983 to 1992 Mr. Tanveerul Haque set up his own Shipping Agency business in Chittagong as an authorized representative of Eckhardt Marine GmbH a German company selling scrap vessels for demolition and was a pioneer in the ship-breaking industry of Bangladesh.

The Managing Director Capt. Md. Merajul Haque, is a Master Mariner who qualified from the Bangladesh Marine Academy in 1975 prior to joining sea service on National Flag Vessels. He successfully completed Professional Certificate of Competency examination in United Kingdom and in Australia. His 18 years of dedicated sea service on general cargo ship, bulk carrier, OBO, tankers etc. under the management of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Tradex Geston S.A. Geneve Switzerland, V-Ship Monaco and couple of owners in Singapore have given him immense experience in International Shipping of all nature.

About Us
We, TM Maritime Ltd, would like to take the opportunity of introducing ourselves as one of the leading Shipping Agents of Bangladesh, operating from Chittagong and Mongla/Khulna with Head Offices in Dhaka. The Company has been in the field of Shipping Agency, Cargo/Ship Brokering & Chartering etc. since 1993.
Our Company has also been handling Demo Vessels as Agents of Eckhardt Marine GmbH, Germany and on behalf of other Ship Owners.
In case of Break Bulk Cargoes we have handled countless ships bringing in millions of tons of bagged cement, clinker, soda ash, fertilizer, newsprint etc. as import cargo and have carried jute and jute goods, Mill Scales etc. in many shiploads as export cargo, over the last two decades.
In the case of Project Cargoes, Plant and Machinery we have handled following :-

- LASH Vessel carrying 114 MW Barge Mounted Power Plant in Aug, 1999 discharged at Akram Point, 35 NM South of Mongla, then towed to Project Site located next to the existing 110 MW Goalpara Power Plant
- Grinding Ball Mills for several Cement Clinker Grinding Factories of Bangladesh
- In 2012 and 2013 we have handled the Plant and Machinery of Summit Meghnaghat Power Company Ltd. including Heavy Lifts (heavy Turbines & Generators up to 207 Mts), brought in by specialized ships with Jumbo Cranes chartered by our Belgian Principals – Martrade Logistics, Belgium.
- Plant & Machinery of Khulna Peaking 150 MW Power Plant , for the UP Gradation to 225 MW CC Power Plant – All Machinery including Turbine, Generator, Heavy Modules etc, Door to Door Service including Barging, Transportation by Road & by indigenous manual method up to the Project Site. Many Containers from Europe, USA & China, mostly FCL , HC, FR with Project Equipment are being handled basis door to door Service.

We also have experience in the handling of liquid cargo like Petroleum Products, Chemicals & LPG.
In Case of Containers / Freight Forwarding– We are also handing Containers(SOC + COC) on behalf of our foreign Principals.These are mostly with Import Project cargoes & Garments raw materials / accessories.We did also handle a shipment of over 550 TEUS of Export(Jute Bags in bales) to Lattakia Port, Syria in the year of 2008 basis FCL.At this moment we are exclusively handling many GP, FR & HC Containers with Project Cargoes at CGO on behalf of our Malaysian Principals SSC Shipping Sdn.Bhd.
Now we are attending Khulna WASA(Underground Piping Project) which involves handling of Mother Vessel at Mongla Port including transportation of all Pipes(various dimensions up to 1.2 M dia), valves, accessories from Mongla Port Jetty up to Project Site near Labonchora, Khulna.This Project is being controlled by China GEO Engineering Corporation.
We are also attending Khulna WASA(Water Treatment Plant), Controlled by China Harbour Engineering Co, Ltd.Heavy equipment by Containers are being handled by us at Chittagong & Mongla Port Under this Project.
Since 2013 we have formed a business alliance with Barkat Business Company(BBC) who have many years’ experience in local carrying of project cargoes by river and road transport to remote project locations all over Bangladesh with a special emphasis and expertise in Power Plants.Their company profile is also attached separately.
The Managing Director of our Company is a Master Mariner(Qualified 1987 Australia) and has been looking after the entire operations personally(loading / unloading / monitoring) thereby ensuring quick turnaround of vessels – including, safety of crew, cargo & vessel etc.The management has established its reputation in the International Shipping Community by rendering efficient services to all our valued Principals.
We handle vessels at Bangladesh Ports for many renowned Ship owners like – Everett Shipping Agency Taipei, Nippon – Shinwa Tokyo, DHL Project & Chartering(CN), OXL Belgium, Martrade Logistics Antwerp, King Star Shipping Hong Kong, Tan Binh Shipping Vietnam etc.and many more. Out of two existing Sea Ports of Bangladesh, Chittagong is the largest where 80-85% of Import & Export cargoes are being handled and remaining through Mongla Port. Both Chittagong & Mongla are natural Tidal Ports with limited permissible drafts at the Jetties. Mongla Port is an Inland Anchorage Port with limited number of Jetties, mostly for priority Container vessels although General Cargo vessels can also use same whenever remaining unoccupied.
We maintain excellent relations with high officials of both the Ports and Customs Authorities and in case of any problems can directly approach the higher government authorities to resolve any issues related to vessels under our agency.
In recent years Bangladesh economy has been growing at a constant pace and has become a focal point for Ready Made Garments. Bangladesh is now the second largest Garments Exporting Country in the world, next to China. Infrastructures in the field of Power Plants i.e. 2 X 1000 MW Nuclear Power Plants under Russian finance, 7 X 1,320 MW Coal Fired Power Plants under JV with Malaysian, Japanese, Indian & Chinese counterparts are being built and are expected to be completed within next 3-5 years. All these will attract huge movements of heavy equipment & Machinery.
